Inspired in the work of Rembrandt - The Quartered Ox -, the artist elaborates a whole series in which he accompanies the animal in its passage from feeding in the field to its presence at the abattoir and the quartering produced by human hands; in nervous brushstrokes and pictorial contrasts, he attempts to convey a dramatic scene: the suffering of the animal and the man who carries out the work.
