The sun which comes from the Port and invades the old facades of the district's buildings is captured among blocks of vibrant colours in which the artist crushes with hands, spatulas and brushes, in the fury of recording a moment of action in the part of Recife which represents history, the stock exchange, commerce and pleasurable nights warmed by prostitutes and sailors.
